You will need to get a prescription for massage from your primary care physician in order to be able to use your FSA. Your physician will let you know if you can cover massage as part of your medical expenses, and if so, how many sessions you can receive. You should ask them to detail the medical necessity of massage, the number of sessions prescribed and the length of sessions prescribed on the prescription. Phila Massages therapists will not be able to keep track of that information or to verify it with the IRS and your primary care physician, so it is up to the individual to make sure he/she is allowed to use their FSA account for each massage session.
We do not work directly with insurance companies, however we would be happy to provide itemized receipts for you to send over to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will need to get a prescription for massage from your primary care physician as well as a diagnosis code, and make sure massage is covered by your insurance. You can email email@example.com to request itemized receipts.
