Hip stretching has many benefits: it can participate in decreasing lower back pain, improving range of motion and posture and decreasing leg injuries.
In this hands on portion of our seminar, Nick will show you how to effectively stretch your hips with a technique called Active Isolated Stretching. AIS is a stretching method that uses a series of 2 second contraction/relaxation sequences for safe and effective muscle loosening, and generally involves a stretching rope or band. Over 45min, he will demonstrate important hip stretches as well as answer any stretching questions you may have.
Whether you are new to stretching, want to learn new ways of elongating your muscles, or have stretching questions, this workshop is for you!
Nick is a licensed massage therapist, Certified AIS therapist and massage therapy instructor. To participate, simply sign up, bring a yoga mat to lay on and make sure to wear roomy clothes. At the end of the class, you will get a pamphlet including the hip stretches, with explanations and picture illustrations to have at home for easy reference.
